whippersnapper, pop punk

bio

Whippersnapper is a melodic punk band from the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, formed in 1995. After disbanding in 2002, they reunited in 2025 and are set to play The Fest in Gainesville, Florida on October 25. They released three albums: America's Favorite Pastime (1998) and The Long Walk (1999) on Lobster Records, followed by Appearances Wear Thin (2002) on Fueled by Ramen, with The Long Walk notably recorded at The Blasting Room studio and engineered by Jason Livermore and Stephen Egerton. Their influential style blends fast-paced skatepunk with melodic hardcore and pop-punk elements, featuring catchy melodies, intricate guitars, and raw energy.

🇲🇽 MEXICO — WE'RE COMING! 🇲🇽Whippersnapper at Día Libre Festival Monterrey • Saturday, May 9, 2026

Fresh off the reunion fire that started at The Fest last fall and carrying that raw momentum straight into 2026, we're hyped to announce:

We're playing Día Libre Festival in Monterrey, Mexico on May 9!

This is our first proper run south of the border since getting the band back together — and what better way to do it than at one of the sickest punk/emo/hardcore bills Mexico has seen in years.

The lineup is absolutely stacked:

División Minúscula (our homies — super excited to finally share a stage)

Taking Back Sunday

The Bouncing Souls

The Menzingers

PUP

Knuckle Puck

Zebrahead

Save Ferris

Balance and Composure

Drain
